For This Weeks Starter, Create a Zentangle and fill in two sections each day with two different patterns from the samples. If you want to come up with your own patterns, that is ok, just make sure that the patterns are complex instead of simple.

ZENTANGLES or ZENDOODLES
Zentangles or Zendoodles, a term which is pretty much interchangeable, are abstract drawings created with pen and ink. These
drawings are created from sections of patterns, often called ‘tangles’, which are built with small repetitive strokes. The wonderful
thing about Zentangling is that anyone can do it. You don’t have to be an artist; all you need is to be able to hold a pen. If you can write your name you can create intricate looking drawings.
Here's How You Do It: Start with four points that roughly create a square or a rectangle. The lines between the points don’t have to be straight, but connect all four points together. Then, draw an organic (curvy) line in your box....whatever feels right. This is called a ‘tangle’ and breaks up the space into sections you can fill with pattern. You can have one line, you can have two. Really, the only limit is your imagination and what feels right for that square. Below is a movie of the beginning of a Zentangle. Pay close attention to how the pattern evolves.
